Hi.I build web apps that last.
Fast for the people who use them, readable for the people who maintain them. TypeScript, front to back.

- SYNOPSIS
francesco [--frontend] [--team] [--backend] [--refactor] <your-project>- DESCRIPTION
I'm mostly a frontend developer, and I handle the backend too when a project needs it. I'm at home on enterprise projects: big codebases, complex domains and strict requirements.
A technical high school gave me solid programming fundamentals. The rest — which is most of what I use at work — I taught myself, from manuals and online courses.
I care about the code nobody sees as much as the interface everyone does. More on that below.
- HISTORY
- 2018Right after school I started working, building WordPress sites for local businesses.
- 2021Joined a consulting firm, where I started working on enterprise projects.
- 2023Went freelance. Since then I've worked with several clients at once.

Strong opinions, loosely held
A few ideas that shape how I write software. They're also a quick way to tell whether we'd work well together.
Unix & Linux
Small programs that do one thing well and talk to each other in plain text. Still the best lesson in software design I know — and Linux is what I work on every day.
$ cat app.log | grep ERROR | wc -lClean architecture
Business logic that doesn't know which framework, database or UI it runs on. Dependencies point inward, frameworks stay at the edges, and replacing one doesn't mean starting over.
react → core ← postgresFunctional programming
Pure functions, immutable data and composition instead of deep class hierarchies. Code you can understand without running it in your head, and test without mocking half the world.
const total = cart.map(price).reduce(add, 0)Strong typing
Making impossible states impossible. A good type is documentation that can't go out of date, and every bug the compiler catches is one that never reaches production.
type Order = Draft | Paid | ShippedKeyboard first
Tiling window manager, terminal, a shortcut for everything. If I have to reach for the mouse, something went wrong. This page works the same way: try j and k.

How I can help
Back-offices, dashboards, customer portals: from the first prototype to production, in React, Next.js or Angular — whichever the project actually needs.
I join existing teams on enterprise projects, find my way around large codebases quickly, and work within your processes instead of reinventing them.
When the frontend needs a backend: APIs with NestJS and PostgreSQL, built so the business logic doesn't depend on the framework.
Codebases that grew too fast, untangled one piece at a time — without freezing development and without the big rewrite nobody has time for.
Let's talk.
I'm available for freelance projects. Whether it's a new app, a codebase that needs some order or an argument about Linux distros, drop me a line.
